BAYOU L'OURSE, LA (WAFB) - Two women are behind bars after Assumption Parish say they found a clandestine drug lab at a residence after a shooting.
On Monday, February 1 at about 7:00 p.m., Assumption Sheriff's Officers responded to a disturbance on Aristile Road in Bayou L'Ourse. In a media release, officers say they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was treated on scene and was transported to an area hospital.
During the investigation of the shooting, a search warrant was obtained for the Aristle Road residence. Investigators found a clandestine lab, as well as drug paraphernalia.
Frances Boudreaux, 31, of Morgan City, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a 2nd degree battery charge and $10,000 bond.
Heather Guillory, 35, of Bayou L'Ourse, was also booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center. She faces creation or operation of a clandestine lab, along with a number of drug and paraphernalia possession charges. She remains in custody on a $56,239 bond.
