Warrick Dunn Award finalist and five-star athlete Shyheim Carter of Kentwood was choked up with emotion when it came down to picking Alabama over Ole Miss on National Signing Day.
Carter brought three caps to the ceremony in the school's gym, but it really came down to the SEC West rivals, even though Carter made official visits to LSU and Miami, FL.
The quarterback who led his Kangaroos to the Class 1A Championship by throwing four touchdown passes with an injured knee was joined by teammates Brandon Holmes and Tyrone Brumfield, who will start their college careers together at Arkansas-Monticello.
