Baton Rouge Police investigate N. 26th Street shooting

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital with non-life threatening, officials say.

The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to the 1900 block of North 26th Street shortly around 1:30  p.m. on Wednesday.

Police found an 18-year-old male victim near the street. The victim suffered several gunshot wounds, according to police.

Witnesses reported that the victim was shot in the neck.

Police have not identified a suspect or motive at this time.
