ZACHARY, LA (WAFB) - East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a man and a woman accused of robbing a group of people at an apartment Friday night.
Deputies arrested Frederick Gray and Kaylee Wilson, both 18, Saturday in connection with the armed robbery.
According to deputies, the victims were having a get together at an apartment in the 4600 block of Burbank Drive when Gray and Wilson, who was known to them as Lauren Wilson, came over.
Wilson and Gray left but later returned to the apartment and told the group that they needed to look for a ring that Wilson misplaced. The lease holder allowed them to look for Wilson's ring while he got dressed in his bedroom to go out for the night.
When the victim returned to the living room to check on them, he observed Gray holding a revolver. Gray then ordered everyone that was inside of the apartment into the bathroom while ordering them to empty their pockets.
The victims say that while they were being held at gunpoint in the bathroom, they could hear Wilson rummaging through the apartment.
During the robbery, another person returned home from the store and was also ordered to go into the bathroom and empty his pockets.
The victims say that before Gray and Wilson left, they told the victims to wait a minimum of 10 minutes before leaving the bathroom.
According to deputies, one victim reported that a lock box containing $500 cash and a watch was stolen along with $400 cash from his bedroom. Another victim reported that $250 was stolen from his wallet.
Deputies say that one of the victims who knew Wilson as "Lauren" showed deputies a picture of Wilson on social media. Deputies learned through Wilson's social media accounts that she worked at a pizza restaurant in Zachary.
When deputies spoke with Wilson's boss at the restaurant, they learned that Wilson's real name was Kaylee. The owner also told deputies that Gray was a former employee of the restaurant and at one point dated Wilson.
According to deputies, two of the victims were able identify Gray and Wilson in a photographic lineup.
Wilson and Gray were arrested and taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where they have both been booked with armed robbery and false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon.
Both Wilson and Gray's bonds have been set at $125,000.
