St. James Place celebrates Mardi Gras with their own parade

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Residents of a Baton Rouge retirement community staged a two-mile Mardi Gras parade Friday afternoon.

The St. James Place parade took place off Lee Drive and was led by Krewe Mystique and the LSU Pershing Rifles Color Guard. 

The king and queen of this year's parade were Will Roussel and his wife Margaret. 

Seniors ranging in age from 63 to 101 live at St. James Place, including one of the first developers of the hydrogen bomb.
