Speeding driver escapes after 133 mph chase in Livingston Parish

KILLIAN, LA (WAFB) -

One day after a high speed chase in Denham Springs, officials in Livingston Parish were involved in a separate high speed chase - this one reaching speeds of 133 miles per hour.

Killian Police officers say they know who owns the vehicle and expect to make an arrest in the case. The owner of the vehicle is from Ponchatoula but has connections in Livingston Parish. They are not releasing the name of the driver at this time.

Officials say a black Infinity was seen driving 82 miles per hour on Old Highway 22. An officer pulled over the vehicle, but once the police car came to a stop on the shoulder, the driver of the Infinity drove off.

Killian Police said the Infinity was going 133 mph on Blood River Road and that is when they stopped the pursuit. Deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office began to help in the chase, but the speeding vehicle was able to get away.
