BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU infielder Bianka Bell and pitcher Carley Hoover have been named to the All-SEC Softball Preseason Team.
Last season, Bell hit .426 with 18 home runs and 73 RBI for the Tigers.
Hoover posted an 18-7 record, 15 complete games, six shutouts, 174 strikeouts, five saves and an ERA of 1.78.
Auburn and Florida led all schools with three selections each. Alabama and LSU have two representatives apiece on the squad, while Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee each had one player named to the team.
The Tigers start the season ranked No. 3 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Softball Preseason Poll.
LSU opens the season against Ohio State on Friday, Feb. 12 in Tiger Park.
