BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A group of Louisiana Festival queens got back Monday from their trip to the Washington Mardi Gras Ball.

They got stuck in Washington D.C. when nearly two free of snow pummeled the area.

Even with the massive weather delays, they said it was still a blast attending the parties and events.

Governor John Bel Edwards was also briefly stuck in D.C., he and his family managed to fly home Sunday night on a private plane from Charlottesville, Virginia, about two hours away from Washington.
