BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A trial date has been set for the man accused of driving the getaway car in the shooting death of a high school football coach.
Lemark Cloud, 25, of Baton Rouge, is set to stand trial starting on February 29 in the shooting death of Juan Joseph, 25, of Edgard.
Cloud is charged with principal to second-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He remains in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a $300,000 bond.
Joseph was shot outside of a nightclub on Bennington Avenue in Baton Rouge on Nov. 15, 2015. He was the quarterbacks coach at West St. John High School. He was the father of a daughter and had a second child on the way.
Lemark Cloud's cousin, Kendric Cloud, also 25 and from Baton Rouge, is believed to have been the shooter. The grand jury did not find sufficient evidence to indict or dismiss the charges.
