DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) - Four arrests have been made in connection with a rash of vehicle burglaries targeting residents living in the northern part of Livingston Parish between Jan. 8, 2016 and Jan. 13, 2016.
"Through this investigation, detectives with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Property Crimes Division were able to clear 17 vehicle burglaries and recover more than $8,000 worth of stolen property. That property was returned to the rightful owners," said Sheriff Jason Ard. "These suspects admitted to 'only' targeting vehicles left unlocked." He urges residents to take valuables inside for safekeeping and to make a habit of locking doors.
Cole Morden, Dylan Bryan, Austin Bercegeay and Charles Hebert were arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. All four are from Denham Springs.
Deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office say more charges are possible.
