ALBANY, LA (WAFB) -

Deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office arrested two burglary suspect in an area north of Albany.

According to LPSO, a burglary was reported in the 30000 block of Jacobs Street in Albany around 3 p.m. Tuesday. A witness gave law enforcement descriptions for two suspects and a vehicle. Sheriff Jason Ard said a deputy spotted the vehicle.

"The driver of the suspect vehicle failed to stop for the deputy and instead sped off north on LA Hwy 43.  Shortly after, the driver of the suspect vehicle crashed into a wooded area. Both suspects then fled on foot," said Ard.

One suspect, Demarco Carter, was arrested and taken to a local hospital to treat some injuries. He will be booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on burglary and other charges once he has been released from the hospital.

The second suspect, Quenton Livers, was caught by authorities around 8 p.m.

Sheriff Ard said Livers was seen "trying to catch a ride out of the area."

The stolen property was recovered from the suspects' vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing and will be handled by the Albany Police Department moving forward.
