Five Jaguars scored in double figures as all 14 players logged minutes for the third consecutive game.  Britney Washington led SU with 13 points and Sarai Blissett added a career high 12 points off the bench. Jadea Brundidge, Miaya Crowder and Cortnei Purnell had 10 points each.

Kahdejah Stevens had 14 points for MVSU joining Reed's 12 point as the only players to score in doble figures. Southern also overpowered MVSU 63-4 in bench points.

The Jaguars return to Baton Rouge with its current 5-game win streak intact as they open a 3-game homestand Saturday, Jan. 23 against Alabama State, who defeated SU 73-55 to claim the 2015 SWAC Tournament championship.
