Baton Rouge football coaches react to new LHSAA postseason plans

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Louisiana High School Athletic Association has ended its format that separates football playoffs for public and private schools, according to reports.

NOLA.com reported the LHSAA abruptly and surprisingly ended its "select/nonselect" playoff format Friday.

The report stated the process of separating the two groups contradicts the LHSAA's constitution.

The split was adopted in 2013.
