LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

A high profile case against a Livingston Parish business man went away Thursday.

State prosecutors dismissed the case against Corey Delahoussaye Thursday afternoon after a judge ruled evidence was illegally collected by the Louisiana Inspector General's Office.

Delahoussaye's company, C-Del Inc., was hired to support Livingston Parish in its dealings with FEMA over the costs of cleaning up after Hurricane Gustav.

Delahoussaye's attorney John McClindon stressed that Delahoussaye would have won his case had it gone to trial and that Delahoussaye never submitted false bills as some have claimed.
