Police: Chase Bank robbery suspect identified, from New Orleans

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police have identified the man they believe robbed the Chase Bank on Government Street on Jan. 12.

Detectives are searching for 51-year-old Gregory Chisolm of New Orleans. He is wanted in connection to the bank robbery that happened around 9:40 a.m.

Police say the man walked into the bank and approached a teller window with a note demanding money. After the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money, he dropped a suspicious item into the teller window and ran out of the bank.

The suspicious item was deemed safe by the Baton Rouge Police Explosives Unit.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Chisolm is urged to contact the Armed Robbery Division at 389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
