Congestion has returned to normal on I-10, I-110 and I-12 in the Baton Rouge area

1:57 PM – Congestion has returned to normal on I-10, I-110 and I-12 in the Baton Rouge area.

11:58 a.m. - Due to the President leaving McKinley High, I-10 WB at Dalrymple, I-10 EB at MRB, I-110 between Downtown and airport is shut down

11:21 a.m. - All lanes are now open on I-10 East at the I-10/I-110. Backups still start at LA 415 in Lobdell.

10:42 a.m. - Congestion remains on I-10 East and West from LA 415 (Lobdell) to Washington Street in Baton Rouge.

9:21 a.m. - There is heavier than normal traffic delays on I-10, I-110 and I-12 in the Baton Rouge area due to the president's visit. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.

9:08 a.m. - The right lane is blocked on I-10 East at the I-10/I-110 due to a stalled 18-wheeler. Backups start at LA 1 in Port Allen.

8:25 a.m. - Expect heavier than normal traffic congestion in the Baton Rouge area due to the president's visit.

7:56 a.m. - All lanes are open on I-10 East past the I-10/I-110. Backups still start at LA 1 in Port Allen. 

7:47 a.m. - The left lane is blocked on I-10 East past the I-10/ I-110 due to a crash. Backups start at LA 1.

7:42 a.m. - All lanes are now open on I-10 East at Acadian Thruway. Backups start at LA 1.

7:34 a.m. - The center lane is blocked on I-10 East at Acadian Thruway due to a crash. Delays start at the Horace Wilkinson Bridge (New Bridge).

7:20 a.m. - There are delays on I-12 West from Juban Road to 4-H Club Road. There are also delays on I-10 West from before Essen Lane to South Acadian Thruway. Traffic is also getting heavy on I-10 East from Dalrymple Drive to Citiplace.

6:15 a.m. - Drivers are urged to make it to their destinations early, as the president's motorcade could cause some delays. The US Secret Service does not release any details about the president's route, but since he will be at McKinley High before 10 a.m., there will definitely be road closures in that area.
