(WAFB) - The build up for LSU's 2016 football season continues.
Edward Aschoff of ESPN has put together his bold SEC predictions for 2016 and it includes a couple of awards for the Tigers.
The first involves junior running back Leonard Fournette. Aschoff predicts a Heisman Trophy for Fournette and believes "every single one of Fournette's runs will be violent and reek of bitterness from not making it to New York in 2015. Fournette will rush for more than 2,000 yards with 25 touchdowns."
The other prediction for the Fighting Tigers is a national championship.
"The offense will be more explosive, as Cam Cameron tweaks things and gets Brandon Harris more comfortable," Aschoff said. "With most of his line back and Malachi Dupre and Travin Dural returning, Harris will be better and he'll hit nearly 3,000 passing yards. And Fournette is still around ... and angry."
Let the countdown to LSU's season opener at Lambeau Field against Wisconsin on Saturday, Sept. 3 begin!
