BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Coastal restoration advocates gave an update Wednesday afternoon on area flood outlooks.
The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) held a meeting in downtown Baton Rouge.
The chairman said Gov. John Bel Edwards spent the morning doing a flyover of the Morganza and Bonnet Carre spillways.
Last week, the Army Corps of Engineers said it intended to open Morganza this week, but now, the CPRA said it's unlikely to open at all.
River levels in Baton Rouge are currently over 41', which is major flood stage.
The Mississippi River is expected to crest Monday.
