BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The longtime "Voice of the Tigers", Jim Hawthorne, will be the voice of Monday's inauguration of John Bel Edwards as Louisiana's 56th governor.
According to new details released Thursday, Hawthorne will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
The past year has been a big one for Hawthorne. He just called his final football game for LSU in the Texas Bowl. He will retire after the 2015-2016 basketball season.
His LSU career began in the 1979-80 basketball season. He just received the 2015 Chris Schenkel Award for Broadcasting Excellence.
