Crime Stoppers: Second suspect wanted in theft of purse at elementary school

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding the second suspect accused of stealing a purse from a school and using stolen credit cards at several businesses.

Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers reported Jorquisha Rose, 29, is wanted on theft, access device fraud and forgery charges.

She is 5'3" and weighs 165 pounds. She has green eyes and brown hair.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office said on Oct. 21, 2015, a woman and man walked into an elementary school and stole a purse belonging to one of the staff members.

Deputies said surveillance video captured the pair leaving with the purse. They added cameras at several businesses caught video of the pair using the victim’s credit cards at several businesses.

Officials reported Crime Stoppers tips helped identify the two suspects and Willie Shepherd, the man they believe was in the video of the theft, was arrested on Dec. 9, 2015. Rose remains on the loose.
