BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - There might have been a good reason for LSU quarterback Brandon Harris' struggle in the second half of the season.
It turns out Harris was playing with an injury and was scheduled to have surgery for a sports hernia on Monday.
The recovery period for the surgery is expected to be four to six weeks and Harris should be ready to go for spring practice.
Harris was injured in the 30-16 loss to Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
The quarterback completed 149 passes on 277 attempts. He threw for 13 touchdowns and six interceptions on the season.
