BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Some local volunteers started prepping to make sure a Christmas meal would go off without a hitch.
However, it is no ordinary meal as people at St. Vincent de Paul were hard at work Wednesday making sure everything is ready for their big meal for the homeless and hungry. The volunteers continued to prepare for the big meal on Thursday as well.
St. Vincent de Paul said they expect about 150 volunteers to help serve about 240,000 meals on Friday.
They will also have their Christmas store in the parking lot where guests can pick out a gift.
