BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A BRPD motorcycle officer was hospitalized Wednesday after crashing into the back of a turning vehicle.
Baton Rouge Police say the officer was traveling southbound in the 1800 block of O'Neil Lane when the vehicle next to him attempted to U-turn, which caused the driver to hit the motorcycle officer.
The officer was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver who allegedly caused the crash was given two tickets. One ticket was for improper lane usage and the other was for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. The driver was not injured from the crash.
This crash is still under investigation.
