BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Investigators are looking for two suspects in connection with a shooting that left a man dead Monday evening.

The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the victim as George Reusch Jr., 27, of Prairieville.

Authorities reported the shooting happened in the parking lot near Hooters off College Drive a little before 7:30 p.m. They added Reusch died on the way to the hospital.

Police are looking for two black men. They said one is heavyset, while the other is thinner. The heavyset suspect was seen wearing a black shirt. The thinner one was seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap, according to police.

Both suspects were last seen leaving the scene running northeast toward Corporate Boulevard.

Reusch's vehicle went through the fence of the parking lot and ended up hitting another car on College Drive.

The northbound lanes of College Drive were blocked off north of I-10 towards Corporate Boulevard while police investigated the scene.

According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), the exit ramp on I-10 West at College Drive reopened before 9:30 p.m. after having been blocked earlier due to police activity.
