Man injured in train crash now listed in critical condition

GONZALES, LA (WAFB) -

According to Gonzales Police Chief Sherman Jackson, the man injured in a Monday morning train crash is now in critical condition.

Police reports say the crash happened around 6:40 a.m. on Monday, December 14. Harry White, 38, of Baton Rouge was driving his pickup eastbound on Felix Street when he crossed the railroad tracks. His truck was hit by an oncoming train.

White was taken to the hospital for moderate to serious injuries, but his status has been upgraded to critical.

The crash is still under investigation.
