THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) - According to officials with the Thibodaux Police Department, 29-year-old Kenny Rogers of Thibodaux was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and burglary.
Just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, a business owner discovered his business had been burglarized and a television and a DVD player were missing.
During the investigation, detectives learned Rogers had been fired by the victim the week prior.
Police found Rogers on Housing Authority Property, where he has been barred from.
While interviewing Rogers, police noticed the stolen items were sitting on a baby bed. Rogers told police he got the items from a "crackhead" and was trying to sell the items. However, if he was unsuccessful in selling the items, he was going to give them to his girlfriend as a present.
Rogers was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on a $50,500 bond.
