SORRENTO, LA (WAFB) -

A teen is in hot water after authorities said he was clocked driving more than double the posted speed limit Thursday night.

Louisiana State Police reported Carter Duhe, 17, was going 132 mph in a 65 mph zone.

Troopers said it happened on US 61 (Airline Highway) near Sorrento before 9 p.m.

Investigators said he was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on charges of maximum speed limit and reckless operation.

Records show he was released after posting bond, but the bond information was not available.

Officials did not state what type of vehicle he was driving.
