Missing man diagnosed with Alzheimer's found safe

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Authorities reported a happy ending in the case of a man reported missing Wednesday evening.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said Thomas Madison, 50, of Baton Rouge, was found safe by a family friend. Deputies did not say where he was located.

According to authorities, neighbors and family members said they had last saw him at his home Tuesday around 6:30 p.m.

Officials said Madison has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and is known to walk away from his home, but then forget where he lives.
