Law enforcement officials and the family of a missing man are hoping the public can help in locating him.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Thomas Madison, 50, of Baton Rouge, was reported missing Wednesday evening.

According to authorities, neighbors and family members said they last saw him at his home Tuesday around 6:30 p.m.

Casey Rayborn Hicks, spokeswoman for EBRSO, said Madison has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

She said it is believed he walked away from his home on Castle Hill Drive, which is near North Flannery Road and Greenwell Springs Road, but it is not known what time he may have left.

She added Madison is known to walk away from his home and forget where he lives.

He is 6'2" and weighs about 150 pounds. His hair is described as brown/gray and he is balding. Family members don’t know for sure what Madison was wearing, but his brother stated he normally wears a blue sweat shirt, blue jeans and a brown ball cap.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the sheriff’s office at 389-5000.
