DONALDSONVILLE, LA (WAFB) - A man is facing multiple charges after Ascension Parish authorities say he allegedly abused his girlfriend.
On December 2, police responding to a domestic violence call say a victim suffered a fractured facial bone and several abrasions to their neck and face. The victim was treated by a nearby hospital.
A short time later, deputies spotted 26-year-old Frank Brooks driving on Iberville Street in Donaldsonville, but refused to stop, according to authorities.
Brooks was able to escape authorities at the time, but was arrested days later on December 8 at a residence on Pine Street in Donaldsonville. When deputies took him into custody, they found a quantity of marijuana in his pocket.
Brooks was charged with possession of marijuana, domestic abuse aggravated assault, flight from officer, and disturbing the peace. No bond has been set yet.
