Police in Hammond say they arrested three suspects after a fire revealed drugs in a car.

On Sunday, December 6 at about 9 p.m., the Hammond Fire Department responded to calls of a fire on Hooks Drive.

First responders saw two vehicles parked under a carport on fire. Firefighters were able to control the fire, but saw what appeared to be marijuana and a firearm inside the home.

Hammond Police were called to the scene, where they seized over three pounds of marijuana, about 34 grams of MDMA, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and a Glock 9mm handgun.

24-year-old Baton Rouge resident Kenneth Robinson was arrested as well as Keena Ross Harrison, and Kristopher Jerard Johnson, both 24-years-old and from Hammond.

They were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
