BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A place for treatment and healing is now a place to view the work of world-renowned artists.
Art collector Doug Gitter donated multiple pieces of art to Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge. Six of the pieces are from artists that are also featured at the Smithsonian.
"It's really art from the heart," says Doug Gitter of the Gitter Gallery. The idea behind donating it to a hospital like this is something that I firmly believe in the art and healing program."
Gitter says he wanted to do something to inspire the physicians, patients, and families at the hospital.
