The two winners of the Sportsline Player of the Week award for Week 13 are both pretty special. One has been garnered six Sportsline Player of the Week awards and the other has LSU and Alabama fighting over him.
The first winner for Week 13, Kentwood quarterback Shyheim Carter, is being recruited by the Tigers and Tide as a defensive back. He was brilliant on offense against Logansport with 273 yards passing and three touchdown strikes.
Carter also made the most of his six carries burning the visitors for 137 yards and three touchdowns! Add to that a pick six on defense and Carter produced seven touchdowns in the Kangaroos' 67-32 win to lead them to the semifinals.
The second winner, Zachary's Lindsey Scott, had an equally spectacular seven touchdown performance by a quarterback with four touchdown passes against Hahnville. The six-time winner had 305 yards through the air and added 153 yards rushing and three more touchdowns.
Scott accounted for 458 yards of total offense in the Broncos' 55-27 win that puts them back in the semifinals a second straight year.
This was Scott's third player of the week honor in the 2015 season. He also won the award three times as a junior.
