Woman accused of assisting in carjacking, kidnapping arrested in Pennsylvania

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge Police say that a woman accused of helping four men rob, carjack and kidnap a man has turned herself in to police in her home state of Pennsylvania. 

Police say 22-year-old Angelina Hooks, who was recently featured in one of our Crime Stopper reports, asked the victim to meet her in the parking lot of the Radisson Hotel in the 2400 block of Acadian Thruway. 

When the victim met her in the parking lot, police say that is when he was punched in the face, pistol-whipped, robbed and put into the trunk of his own car. 

The victim was later able to escape when the vehicle was rear ended and the trunk popped open. 

Hooks turned herself into police in Pennsylvania and has been charged with principal to carjacking, 2nd degree kidnapping, aggravated battery and simple battery.
