BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - If you have outstanding traffic warrants out of East Baton Rouge Parish, you will have an opportunity to clear your records with the courts on Saturday, December 5 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
On Saturday, you can clear the warrant and resolve those underlying fines at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center on Gus Young Ave.
The traffic bench warrant amnesty day is being sponsored by Councilwoman C. Denise Marcelle, District Attorney Hillar Moore and Public Defender Michael Mitchell.
This amnesty day is for traffic warrants only. This does not apply to felony warrants.
If you would like to take advantage of the program, bring money and your ID. You will also be able to enroll in a partial pay program.
