BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A caregiver is facing charges for allegedly forging checks from a man who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis.
The victim says Secari Riley, 38, was paid for assistance in handling some of the victim's affairs. During a recent review of the victim's bank accounts, they found 66 forged checks totaling $8275 found to be written to the suspect in the span of about three months.
EBRSO reports say the checks had forged signatures from either the victim or their fiancée.
Riley was arrested on theft of the assets of a person with a disability, and forgery charges.
