BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man accused of hitting a sheriff's deputy with his car in September is appeared in court on Monday for his arraignment.
Investigators say 21-year-old Eddie Isadore tried to back out over an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Deputy during an undercover drug bust. The vehicle Isadore was driving hit the deputy in the knees. Isadore has been charged with attempted first-degree murder of a police officer, resisting an officer, aggravated damage to property and flight from an officer.
In court, the Assistant District Attorney argued that Isadore's bond should be revoked, meaning that he would lose the right to be free before the trial. Instead, the judge overseeing the arraignment ruled to increase Isadore's bond to $1 million.
Isadore's case was re-assigned to April 6, 2016.
