Best and Worst Retailers for Cyber Week in 2015

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Personal finance website, WalletHub researched the best and worst retailers for Cyber Week.  The results come on what is expected to be the busiest online shopping day of the year in America.  Sales are expected to hit $3 billion on Cyber Monday.

WalletHub looked at more than 3,000 deals from 30 of the biggest retailers in the United States.  Here is the list of the businesses offering the largest advertised discounts for each product category in 2015.

  1. Groupon (62%)
  2. Belk (59%)
  3. Bon-Ton (56%)
  4. JCPenney (53%)
  5. Macy's (52%)
  6. eBay (50%)
  7. Kohl's (50%)
  8. Sears (49%)
  9. Amazon (42%)
  10. Kmart (40%)

WalletHub suggests shoppers get at least a 36 percent discount if they plan to take advantage of Cyber Week.  Anything below that percentage, could mean the consumer has fallen into a trap.

The site reports jewelry is the most discounted category during the shopping frenzy, at 56%.  The least discounted items are reportedly computers, phones video game software.
