APSO looks for car wash burglary suspect caught on video

PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) -

Ascension Parish deputies are looking to find a suspect who was caught on surveillance cameras stealing from two car washes in Prairieville.

Investigators said the video showed a suspect hitting the Platinum Express car wash and Clean Team Auto Spa, both are located  on Highway 44, on Sunday, November 1 between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.

The video showed the suspect breaking into the payment kiosks with some type of crowbar and taking cash. Police said the suspect ran off with more than $3,000 and caused $10,000 in damage.

According to surveillance video, the suspect was wearing a red hooded jacket and light colored pants.
