BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Authorities arrested a woman who is accused of failing to report hundreds of thousands of dollars in income.
The Louisiana Department of Revenue reported Tanya Rivers of Baton Rouge did not file state income tax returns on more than $268,000 in earnings. Investigators added she also didn't pay the estimated $12,700 in taxes owed.
Rivers was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Tuesday on charges of evasion of tax and failure to file. She was released later that day after posting the $10,000 bond.
Officials said Rivers is the 53rd person arrested in an ongoing anti-fraud initiative.
