BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Capital Area Transit System (CATS) can continue to park buses in front of the Old State Capitol.
On Tuesday, a state judge rejected a state request for a court order to stop CATS buses from blocking the property.
Secretary of State Tom Schedler sued CATS over its use of the curb in front of the historic building as a hub.
Schedler claimed it was a safety risk because the buses blocked the main entrance.
However, Judge Michael Caldwell sided with CATS, saying they have no authority in where the bus hub is and that the decision lies with the East Baton Rouge government.
