Deputies search for armed bank robber - 5 p.m.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Authorities are trying to find the man who robbed a Baton Rouge bank at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported it happened at the Capital One Bank on Bluebonnet Boulevard near the Mall of Louisiana just before 11 a.m.

Deputies released surveillance video that shows the suspect, but his face is partially hidden.

Casey Rayborn Hicks, spokeswoman for EBRSO, said witnesses reported walked into the bank, pulled out a gun and demanded money from a teller. She added the robber fired one shot in the air as he was leaving. No one was injured.

The suspect is believed to be in his mid 20s. He was wearing a Saints "beanie" with dreadlocks and a Nike sweatshirt. He is about 6'2" with a slim build.
