BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Cox Communications announced Monday that it is offering free services to telephone and television customers after the terrorist attacks in France.
Cox's Digital Telephone customers will be able to make free calls to landline and wireless telephone numbers in France. Customers will be able to call for up to 60 minutes during a free calling period that retroactively started on November 13, when attacks took place in Paris, and lasts through November 20.
Cox added that "the free calling period is automatic for all Cox Digital Telephone customers with a Cox Long Distance service plan."
Cox has also made available French language news channel TV5 Monde free to existing customers through November 20. The channel is available on Channel 266 in Acadiana and Baton Rouge and Channel 335 in New Orleans.
