GONZALES, LA (WAFB) -

A Gonzales man has been found guilty of aggravated burglary and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Damon Delmore, 38, forced his way into three homes, within 30 minutes of each other, on May 20, 2014. In all three crimes, the homeowners were inside at the time of the home invasion.

In one of the home invasions, Delmore battered an elderly couple who found him in their home.

A jury found Delmore guilty of all charges.

"I am pleased with the outcome of this case," said Assistant District Attorney Buquoi. "Seeing justice served is always what we at the District Attorney’s office aim to do, yet when the elderly are seen as targets of crime, the successful prosecution is all the more rewarding."

According to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney's Office, Delmore is being held in the Ascension Parish Jail. His bond has been set at $315,928.50 and sentencing will take place on February 10, 2016.
