Thibodaux police re-arrest escapee after weekend-long search

THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) -

Thibodaux Police have arrested a man who allegedly escaped from police custody on Friday.

Tre Authement, 17, is facing charges for simple escape, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a CDS, illegal carrying of weapons, and multiple drug charges.

On Friday, November 13, authorities say Authement was parked in a handicap spot without a placard. Police investigators say they were able to find three handguns, brass knuckles, Xanax, Vicodin, suspected marijuana, and suspected cocaine.

Authement and two of the passengers in his car, Williams Frost Jr. and Trevonte Neville, were placed under arrest and transported seperately to the Thibodaux Police Department

Once at the police department, Authement was able to escape once police attention was directed to a medical emergency after a vehicle drove onto a walkway near the entrance to the police station.

Authement was arrested on Sunday, November 15 after officers received a tip to the suspect’s location.

Authement is being held on a $267,750 bond, Frost is being held on a $111,000 bond, and Neville has a bond of $136,000.
