PLAQUEMINE, LA (WAFB) - A woman accused of scamming the elderly was arrested in Plaquemine Tuesday.
Plaquemine Police arrested 37-year-old Latesha Rogers, of Baton Rouge, at an elderly Plaquemine resident's house. She was allegedly there to collect more money from the victim.
The victim say she got several calls saying she had won $3 million, but the caller advised that the victim needed to pay taxes first before claiming the prize.
Rogers allegedly said she was a lawyer from the Baton Rouge area.
Rogers is charged with felony theft, monetary instrument abuse, theft by fraud and theft of the assets of an aged person.
