BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a deadly shooting that happened in October.
Marcus Gillard, 28, of Baton Rouge, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder. His bond is set at $25,000.
He is one of three people accused of having a role in the death of Darius Johnson, 23, who was found shot in his own backyard on North 31st Street on October 29. Investigators added he died at the scene.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Johnson was shot after getting into a fistfight with four men in a nearby BREC park.
Dyshun Winns, 19, was arrested Friday on a second-degree murder charge. He is also being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison as a fugitive from justice.
Police are still trying to find a third suspect, Alexander Brock, 23.
