Home repair business owner accused of sexually assaulting a special needs teen

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The owner of a home repair business is facing a rape charge after allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman with special needs.

Ron Monroe, 49, of Walker, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Tuesday in connection with an incident that reportedly happened on October 30.

According to the arrest warrant, Monroe owns Big Gun’s Home Maintenance and had been repairing the home of the 19-year-old victim’s mother since August.

Monroe was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of first-degree rape and sexual battery. No bond was set.
