Man arrested in connection with September stabbing

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested a man they say stabbed a man in September. 

Police say the incident happened on September 8 just before 11 p.m.

According to police, they received a call about a stabbing in the 2300 block of College Drive. 

The victim was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds to the side, shoulder, neck and hand. 

Police say during the investigation, the victim stated that he had been stabbed by "Merl", who was later identified as 33-year-old Merlin Frazier, and gave them his last known address. 

Frazier was arrested Friday and booked in to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he has been charged with one count of second degree murder.
