BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The need in Baton Rouge for a shelter for women in desperate situations is growing.

One group is hoping the public can help them change that.

Travail 6:33 is a small house in Baton Rouge where women can go to find a roof over their heads, food and guidance while they work to get back on their feet.

However, there is currently only enough room for 12.

A banquet is scheduled at Bethany Church in Baker starting at 6:33 p.m. to help raise money for an expansion.
